Side-By-Side For Justice

S.E.E.D.

The acronym S.E.E.D. is divided into two separate phases.

Phase I
S
tarvation Elimination  (Children only)
This phase of the program is responsible for identifying vulnerable children who do not receive food on a regular basis.  The children are normally orphans who scavenge the local dumps for food.  Children may also come from families who have little or no access to food.

The children are identified by national pastors whom we have trained in identifying the most vulnerable of the children.  Oftentimes, local clinics or churches will refer our trained staff to a child.  The food is used only for the elimination of starvation and not hunger.

Children Food Distribution Centers (CFDC) are low cost, portable outdoor kitchens that are constructed and used to prepare the meals.  The children who are identified by our trained staff are given one meal per day.
The finances used to purchase the food are spent in the village where the CFDC is located.  This helps to strengthen the economy of the village and prevents government
corruption from those who would demand money for services in that village.

Phase II
E
ducation & Development (Christian Based)

There have been several items that have remained constant with Phase I of the S.E.E.D. Program.  The first and most important is that the Starvation Elimination (children) has been successful.  Child Starvation is being impacted in a powerful and effective way.  The second item I have noticed is that without a leader for the children to follow, the children are easily influenced to become involved in corruption.

It is for this reason we are now implementing Phase II of S.E.E.D.  We believe that by educating the children and providing godly examples for them to follow, male and female, the cycle of corruption will be severely impacted for God's glory.
